Parish Choir

St. George’s parish choir sings at the 10:30 Worship Service and occasionally at other services throughout the year. The mission of the choir is to support congregational singing in worship, and they also perform anthems during worship. St. George’s is a welcoming and sociable group who love to sing together under the direction of Surinder S. Mundra, music director for the parish. All are welcome to join the choir. Weekly practice is at 7 pm on Wednesdays for 90 minutes. If you would like more information, contact Surinder through our office: 905-683-7981.

St. George’s Concert Series

The mission of the concert series is to bring professional caliber classical music to Durham region. Our concerts are held in the worship centre, which has wonderful acoustics and comfortable seating. Our artists are associated with  the Toronto Concert Orchestra, the Canadian Opera Company and the National Ballet.  our neighbours in Durham Region opportunities to enjoy classical music performed by professional musicians. The artists have performed with such groups as the Toronto Concert Orchestra, the Canadian Opera Company and the National Ballet Company.

We have a May Mother’s Day concert and a Christmas concert every year. In 2019 we welcomed the wonderful Venutti Strings ensemble to St. Georges. Watch the Ajax Advertiser and our website for upcoming concert news.
